The Forge Race Tier List Guide 2026

Choosing the right race in The Forge is one of the most important decisions you'll make. With 16 different races ranging from the common Human to the incredibly rare Archangel (0.1% chance), each offers unique passive abilities and active skills that fundamentally change how you play the game. This comprehensive tier list ranks every race based on their effectiveness in PvP combat, PvE content, boss fights, and farming efficiency to help you make the best choice for your playstyle.

What is the Race System?

In The Forge, every player starts as a Human - the most common race with minimal bonuses. Through race rerolls (costing Robux or earned through gameplay), you can randomly change your race. Each race has a different rarity tier: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary, Mythical, and Divine. Rarer races have lower drop chances but significantly stronger abilities.

How Race Abilities Work

Each race provides passive bonuses that are always active (like increased damage, speed, or luck) and often an active ability you can trigger. Passive abilities include stat boosts like +6 luck for Archangel or lifesteal for Vampire. Active abilities are powerful skills on cooldowns, like Demon's hellfire teleport or Golem's damage reduction shield.

Best Races for Each Playstyle

Best for PvP

Archangel - Divine mobility and luck

Vampire - Lifesteal sustain

Best for PvE/Bosses

Demon - Cursed Aura damage

Golem - Tankiness for survival

Race Drop Chances

When you reroll your race, the game randomly selects from all 16 races based on these probabilities. Divine races like Archangel are extremely rare, requiring an average of 1,000 rerolls to obtain. Understanding these odds is crucial for planning your reroll investment:

Divine (0.1%)

Archangel only

Mythical (0.5% each)

Demon, Angel

Legendary (1-2%)

Dragonborn, Felynx, Golem, Minotaur

Epic (4-7%)

Vampire, Shadow, Dwarf

Rare (8-10%)

Orc, Goblin, Undead

Common/Uncommon

Human (25%), Elf, Zombie

Detailed Race Analysis

Archangel (Divine - 0.1%)

The undisputed best race in The Forge. Archangel provides incredible mobility with enhanced dash distance and speed, a substantial jump boost, extra stamina, reduced dash cooldown, and a chance for AOE damage on every dash. The +6 luck bonus is the highest in the game, significantly improving your ore drops and forge outcomes. At only 0.1% drop rate, expect to spend thousands of Robux or get extremely lucky to obtain this race.

Best for: Everything - PvP, PvE, Farming, Boss Fights

Demon (Mythical - 0.5%)

The best farming race and arguably the strongest for PvE content. Demon's Cursed Aura passively deals fire damage to all nearby enemies, letting you farm mobs just by standing near them. Combined with increased movement speed, attack speed, physical damage, and fire damage bonuses, Demon tears through content. The Devil's Finger ability teleports you with a dash while creating hellfire circles for even more burn damage.

Best for: Farming, PvE, Mob Clearing, Fire Builds

Vampire (Epic - 4%)

One of the best PvP races due to lifesteal sustain. Every hit you land heals you, making Vampire incredibly strong in extended fights. The Blood Rage ability temporarily increases both attack speed and lifesteal percentage, creating windows where you're nearly unkillable. At 4% drop rate, Vampire is much more accessible than Mythical races while still being very powerful.

Best for: PvP, Solo Content, Sustain Builds

Dwarf (Epic - 7%)

The ultimate mining and crafting race. Dwarf's Gifted Miner passive increases mining damage and improves forge chances, meaning you get more ores and better weapon/armor outcomes. Critical Mining adds extra damage to rocks. If you prioritize economy over combat, Dwarf is unbeatable. The slower movement speed is a significant drawback for combat, but irrelevant when mining.

Best for: Mining, Forging, Economy Focus

How to Reroll Your Race

1

Visit the Wizard or Race Menu

You can reroll at the Wizard in Forgotten Kingdom or use the Race Menu in the Shop (press 'T'). Both options work the same way.

2

Obtain Reroll Currency

Rerolls can be purchased with Robux, earned from codes, received as progression rewards, or obtained from completing quests and milestones.

3

Roll for Your Target Race

Each reroll randomly selects a race based on drop rates. Divine races (0.1%) require an average of 1,000 rolls, while Rare races (8-10%) are much more common.

4

Unlock Additional Slots

You can unlock up to 3 race slots to switch between different races. This lets you use Dwarf for mining and Demon for combat without losing either.

Pro Tips for Race Selection

  • 1.Don't waste Robux trying to get Archangel as a beginner. A Legendary or Epic race is a massive upgrade from Human and much easier to obtain.
  • 2.For dedicated miners, Dwarf is better than Archangel. The forge chance bonus translates to significant value over time.
  • 3.Check for active codes before rerolling. Free rerolls are regularly released by developers on their Discord.
  • 4.Golem pairs exceptionally well with Colossal Swords and Great Axes. The Heavy Hitter passive compensates for slow attack speed.
  • 5.Felynx is the only race that specifically boosts Gauntlet weapons. If you love punching things, this is your race.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best race in The Forge?

Archangel is objectively the best race with its mobility, luck boost, and AOE damage on dash. However, Demon is better for pure farming, and Vampire excels in PvP sustain. The "best" race depends on your playstyle.

How rare is Archangel?

Archangel has a 0.1% drop rate, making it the rarest race in The Forge. On average, you'll need 1,000 rerolls to get it, though RNG can mean it takes far more or far fewer attempts.

Can I change my race after choosing one?

Yes! You can reroll your race at any time using the Wizard NPC or the Race Menu. You can also unlock up to 3 race slots to save and switch between different races.

Is Demon or Angel better?

Demon is better for farming and PvE due to its passive AOE damage. Angel offers superior mobility and luck but lacks Demon's consistent damage output. Both are excellent Mythical races.

What race should beginners aim for?

Beginners should aim for any Epic or Legendary race first. Vampire (4%), Dwarf (7%), or Orc (8%) are relatively common and significantly better than Human. Save Archangel hunting for later.

Does race affect mining?

Yes! Dwarf is the best mining race with increased mining damage, critical mining, and better forge chances. Races with luck bonuses (like Archangel and Angel) also improve ore drop rates.
