What is The Forge?

The Forge is a popular Roblox mining and crafting RPG where players mine ores, forge powerful weapons and armor, and battle enemies. The game features a deep crafting system based on ore multipliers and traits that determine the quality and abilities of your equipment.

Success in The Forge requires understanding probability mechanics, ore combinations, and strategic choices about races, weapons, and builds. This guide will teach you everything you need to get started and progress efficiently.

Getting Started

Step 1: Complete the Tutorial

When you first join, complete all tutorial quests. They provide free starting gear, teach basic mechanics, and give you your first pickaxe. Don't skip these - the rewards are valuable for early progression.

Step 2: Mine Your First Ores

Head to Stonewake's Cross and start mining. Focus on gathering Stone, Copper, and Iron. Don't worry about rare ores yet - you'll need common materials for your first crafts.

Step 3: Craft Basic Equipment

Visit the forge and create your first weapon using 3-4 ores. Even a basic Iron weapon is much better than fists. Don't stress about perfect rolls - you'll craft many weapons as you progress.

Mining Basics

How Mining Works

Each rock you mine has a chance to drop different ores. Rarer ores have lower drop rates - for example, Galaxite only drops 1 in 1,000,000 times! Your pickaxe determines which areas you can mine and may provide luck bonuses.

Ore Multiplier

Higher multiplier = stronger equipment. Galaxite has 11.5x!

Ore Traits

Special effects that activate when used in crafting.

Forging Equipment

Understanding the Forge

The forge combines your ores into weapons or armor. The final item's stats depend on the weighted average of ore multipliers. Higher total multiplier = higher chance for better rarity outcomes (Basic, Rare, Epic, Legendary, Godly).

  • Minimum 3 ores required for any craft
  • Traits activate at 10%+ ore composition
  • More ores = more consistent results

Calculate Before You Forge!

Understanding Races

There are 16 races in The Forge, each with unique passive abilities and active skills. You start as Human (the weakest race) but can reroll for others using Robux.

Progression Tips

Level 1-10

Focus on tutorial quests, mine in Stonewake's Cross, craft Iron gear

Unlock Forgotten Kingdom, farm gemstones, upgrade to Gold/Diamond weapons

Explore Goblin Cave for crystals, get Titanium pickaxe, save rare ores

Level 30-40

Farm Frostspire for Legendary ores, consider race reroll, fight Frost Wyrm

Level 40+

Volcanic Depths for Mythical ores, endgame crafting, Dragon's Peak raids

Common Mistakes to Avoid

Wasting rare ores on early crafts - save Legendary+ for endgame
Ignoring ore traits - they can be more valuable than multiplier
Not using calculators - math matters in this game!
Rushing to hard areas - grind appropriate zones first
Selling all duplicate ores - you need them for crafting experiments
Skipping tutorial quests - free gear and currency
